Northumberland FA are delighted to announce a non-competitive women’s recreational football offer this Summer!
This Girl Can – Summer Sevens will be launching in June 2022 over a 4-week period (4 Tuesday evenings - 7, 14, 21 and 28 June 6-7.30pm).
Entry is £40 per team for the whole tournament, which will be held at the 3G facility at Cochrane Park, NE7 7JX
IMPORTANT: Information about This Girl Can - Summer Sevens
- Non-competitive football
- Players with minimal/no playing experience
- Women (aged 18+) without an existing team (players with an existing team welcome to register)
- Players looking to reconnect with football
- Opportunities for women to connect with local Women’s teams during/after event
We have an opportunity for women to register as a team OR register to be placed within a “make-up” team. If you want to participate in the Summer Sevens, but don’t have enough people to form a team – don’t worry! We will be looking to create one “make-up” team for those without an existing group to enter as a team.
We hope to build and increase opportunities for women’s recreational football within Northumberland County. We’re excited for this short Summer Series to act as a catalyst for future recreational football whilst harnessing the build up to the Women’s EURO 2022 here in England!
