Voice FC is recruiting new team members aged 18-24.

Voice FC acts as a representative voice for young people in the region and will gather insight, to help form ideas and initiatives to improve the football experience for young people, aiming to support more young people play, coach, referee, volunteer, and spectate in grassroots football. Voice FC sits alongside Northumberland FA’s existing Football Advisory Board and Inclusion Advisory Board, with Voice FC having members on both, ensuring the voice of young people is represented within Northumberland FA.

In addition, in partnership with local youth charity, NE Youth, Northumberland FA will support the development of Voice FC members to grow their own aspirations and leadership skills. Voice FC members will take part in workshops across Teamwork and Team Building; Decision Making & Problem Solving; Communication; Inclusivity & Diversity; Time Management; CV Building; Mental Health & Wellbeing; Creativity & Innovation; Reflection; and Safeguarding.

In 2024/25, Voice FC will deliver its own campaigns/projects to improve and develop the game in areas important to its members:

· Develop pathways for more coaches aged under 25 years old to coach within grassroots football.

· Improve spectator behaviour to create better environments for player and referee development in youth football.

In addition, Voice FC will work with NFA staff to lead on:

· Youth Player Shape Your Game Workshops, to help listen to and amplify the voice of young people in football.

These unique experiences are ideal for anyone interested in a career in sport, and/or who are passionate about improving the grassroots game in our region.

Who are Voice FC looking for?

· Are aged 18-24

· Live in Newcastle upon Tyne, North Tyneside, or Northumberland.

· Are involved in football via, playing, coaching, refereeing, administering, or volunteering in any capacity.

· OR, if not currently involved in football, you could be passionate about the game and have skills and interests that would benefit Voice FC. For example, are creative and great at engaging people on social media.

· Are able to attend workshops every 4-6 weeks.

· Are motivated to join Voice FC and work as a team to deliver their 2024/25 project(s). Apply online HERE.
