Senior Cup Final Date Announced
Northumberland FA is pleased to announce that its 2018 Techflow Marine Senior Cup final will take place at St James’ Park on Wednesday 2 May (7:30pm KO).
Newcastle United U23s and Morpeth Town will battle it out at the 52,000 capacity stadium - the home of Premier League football in the North East.
Last year saw nearly 2,000 local football fans flock to watch a five-goal thriller between Blyth Spartans and North Shields, with this year’s final shaping up to be bigger and better.
John Ackerley, Northumberland FA Chief Executive Officer, said: “I’d like to give a big thank you to Newcastle United who will yet again be hosting our flagship event.
“Building on a successful Senior Cup last season, this year we will look to provide supporters with an even better experience - with further details to be announced closer to the date.
“The two finalists both play a high standard of football and it will certainly be a well-contested game, which I encourage fans of North East football to come out and support.”
Ticketing details will be announced in due course, with general admission £7 for adults and £3 for concessions.
