Excitement Builds Ahead of Senior Cup Final
Excitement is building in the North East ahead of the 2018 Techflow Marine Senior Cup final, which takes place at Newcastle United’s St James’ Park on Wednesday 2 May (7:30pm KO).
Newcastle United U23s and Morpeth Town will battle it out at the 52,000 capacity stadium and the home of Premier League football in the North East.
Last year saw nearly 2,000 local football fans flock to watch a five-goal thriller between Blyth Spartans and North Shields, and this year’s final is shaping up to be bigger and better.
John Ackerley, Northumberland FA Chief Executive Officer, said: “I’d like to give a big thank you to Newcastle United, who will yet again be hosting our flagship event. Building on a successful Senior Cup last season, this year we will look to provide supporters with an even better experience. The two finalists both play a high standard of football and it will certainly be a well-contested game, which I encourage fans of North East football to come out and support.”
Tickets will be available on the gate, priced at £7 for adults and £3 for concessions. Please arrive early to avoid disappointment.
