Having worked closely with both youth and adult football over recent years, it has become apparent that many players choose not to continue playing when they reach adult age groups because of injury problems. This is a huge shame and something we are keen to address here at Northumberland FA.
I’m confident that – with the expertise and first-class care provided by Newcastle Sports Injury Clinic – this tricky transition between youth and adult football will be eased, whilst long-term injuries will be addressed and treated in the right way to give adults the opportunity to continue playing the game under the umbrella of Northumberland FA for longer.
