CEO Column: Start your Refereeing Career

We’re proud to provide football opportunities to players up and down the county, but we’re also aware that playing the game is not for everyone.
Therefore, along with our commitment to supporting coaches and the ever-expanding volunteer workforce, we’re also keen to support the next generation of football referees.

One way we do this is by providing a regular stream of FA Referee Courses throughout the year, and I’m delighted to say that dates for four new courses have now been released via our website.

Taking place in February, March, June and July next year, these courses will ensure learners have an understanding of the Laws of the Game and the practical skills required to referee on a matchday. Crucially, upon completion of the course, you will have a qualification recognised across the country which will provide you with a platform to go on and climb the promotion ladder.

These are excellent opportunities, so please CLICK HERE for further details or contact Lindsey.Robinson@NorthumberlandFA.com

Excitement is building at Northumberland FA ahead of our 2018 Pitch Improvement Programme Conference, which will take place at Close House Golf Club on 22 February 2018. We’re thrilled that Ian Powell, IOG Pitch Regional Advisor, and Brian Clark, Close House Head Greenkeeper, will be in attendance - among others - to share their experience and knowledge with attendees. There may be plenty of time between now and the event, but interest is expected to be high so we want to give you as much time to book as possible. Enjoy the rest of your week.

John.
