Charter Standard Club of the Year – Whitley Bay Boys Club
Representatives of the side have travelled nationwide to forge links and adopt ideas from highly respected clubs, to further improve their skills in developing and running teams.
It has developed its facilities in partnership with local schools, with a full-size 3G pitch and a seven-a-side 4G pitch.
To ensure quality coaches for the future of the sides, it has initiated a Young Leaders Programme, which sees 15 to 28-year-olds placed with experienced managers to support them through their Level 1 qualifications.
As well as this the club also makes numerous partnerships with other organisations, including a link with Northumbria University, where performance analysts are recruited on placement to provide stats.
This is just a sample of the work conducted by Whitley Bay Boys Club – all of which has a major positive impact on Northumberland’s grassroots community.
The whole of the Northumberland FA team would like to congratulate the club, and thank its team for its contribution to our county’s grassroots football community.
