Futsal is an ever growing format of the beautiful game, originating from Brazil. Futsal offers an alternative from traditional 5-a-side. It’s a fast, fun and exciting challenge; with rules to promote positive football. Futsal is quick to learn and great for players of all levels. With a total prize pot of £360 of Nike Vouchers available for each league, plus medals & winner’s trophies on offer, it’s time to get involved and play Futsal.

The Northumberland FA Futsal Fives leagues are open to all players aged 16 or over. Teams can be entered by anyone. It could be that your 11a-side team fancies something new to keep you fit over winter, you could play other formats of small-sided football and want to give Futsal a go, or you could be groups of friends who want to put a team together.

Venue: Cramlington Concordia Leisure Centre, NE23 6YB
Days: Tuesdays
Dates: 14th October - 16th December & 13th January – 24th February
Times: Kick-offs between 6.30pm – 9pm (40 minute matches)
Cost: £15 per week
Ages: 16+
Venue details: Less than 20minutes from Newcastle, Concordia is easily accessible via the A1, A19, & A189. Free parking is available outside the leisure centre which is opposite the ASDA Superstore & Manor Walks Shopping Centre.

FUTSAL CUP QUALIFYING: WINNERS OF THE CUP (PLAYED WEEKS 1-3) WILL QUALIFY  INTO THE MEN’S FA FUTSAL CUP (REGIONAL QUALIFIERS PLAYED ON 29/30TH NOVEMBER)

Women’s League
Venue: Kenton School, NE3 3RU
Days: Thursdays
Dates: 30th October – 18th December & 15th January – 26th February
Times: Kick-offs 7.15pm – 9.20pm (35 minute matches*)
Cost: £10 per week
Ages: 16+
Venue details: Minutes from the A1 & Central Motorway. Free parking is available. Enter the building through the ‘Kenton Sport’ entrance visible from the car park.

FA FUTSAL CUP QUALIFYING: LEAGUE LEADERS AT HALFWAY POINT (BEFORE CHRISTMAS) WILL QUALIFY INTO THE WOMEN’S FA FUTSAL CUP

*Game length unfortunately cannot be the full 40minutes due to facility availability. If possible we will extend games to the full 40 minutes.

Both leagues will use FA Futsal qualified referees and Futsal goalposts.

The entry fee of £40 can be paid over the phone by calling 0191 270 0700, by cheque written out to Northumberland FA, or by cash in person (please do not post cash). Entry cannot be confirmed until the entry fee is paid.
